Overview

The Hythe Venetian Fete is a tableaux of decorated floats held on the Royal Military Canal in the town of Hythe. Established in 1890, the fete has become a cherished tradition, attracting an audience of thousands to see the two processions of up to 40 floats. First in daylight, and then again after dark when illuminated. At dusk there is also a grand firework display.

6.30pm The Honorary President of the Hythe Venetian Fete Society arrives at the centre stage with the Chairman
6.45pm The Right Worshipful Mayor of Hythe and the visiting Mayors of the Confederation of the Cinque ports arrive at the centre stage
7.00pm Fete Declared Open by The Right Worshipful Town Mayor of Hythe.
